Stainless Steel 316H has 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and carbon of approximately 0.04–0.10%. It provides tensile strength close to 620 MPa, excellent creep resistance, and good oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Molybdenum addition provides additional resistance to chloride-induced pitting and localized corrosion. 316H is non-magnetic and maintains excellent weldability.
