It has tensile strength of approximately 895 MPa, yield strength of 828 MPa, and very good fatigue and fracture resistance. The alloy also has its mechanical properties retained at higher temperatures, up to approximately 400°C. Titanium Gr 5 has good weldability and formability. These make it very suitable for applications involving high strength-to-weight ratios and resistance in harsh environments.
