Monel 400 is made up of about 67% nickel, 30% copper, with small amounts of iron, manganese, and silicon. It provides a tensile strength of 550–620 MPa and a yield strength around 240 MPa, with great resistance to acidic and alkaline solutions, including saltwater, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid.
